Our Mission
Our mission at Herman E. Dummer Elementary School is to provide a safe, positive learning environment where each student is challenged to become an independent, responsible, life-long learner by: Engaging students in active, relevant learning activities
Working together as a collaborative team to promote learning and self-esteem
Preparing students to live and learn in an ever changing and diverse world.
Teaching skills that promote their social, emotional, and intellectual needs as they transition from school to school and become responsible citizens in the community.
BRINGING YOUR STUDENT TO SCHOOL
Just a reminder
remember when dropping off your student before school or
picking them up after school
please do so in front of the school. In the
morning students may enter the front door or the gym door only. The
exception is when you pick them up during the school day; you will need to ring
in at our back door. INCLEMENT
WINTER WEATHER
Winter weather
is just around the corner, and it is important that children are dressed
properly to go outside for recess. If the wind chill is 10 degrees or
higher, we will be going out for recess, including morning recess. By
the time everyone gets bundled up and we go outside, they are not out
for a very long time, but the ability to run around and get some
exercise is important for each of our students.
