Franklin Mall Project

Sandwich Middle School will once again participate in the Franklin Mall Project from December 9th-16th. During this time, students will be asked to collect non-perishable food products (canned or packaged foods) in their homerooms. The homeroom in each grade that collects the most items will receive a pizza party! Let's all show our support for the Franklin Mall Project by beating the 1500 items that we collected last year!

Middle School Starts Toy Drive

Sandwich Middle School has started a toy drive to aid the Walter and Connie Payton Foundation. WCPF is an organization works with DCFS to give toys to needy families during the holiday season. Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the month to win different Chicago Bears apparel—each week will feature a new item. These tickets are $1 each or for $5, with the proceeds going to purchase toys for the drive. To kick off the event, Jarrett Payton (Walter and Connie Payton’s son) talked to all the students about the importance of giving back to the community. He has offered to give the most generous homeroom (the one who buys the most raffle tickets or brings in the most toys) autographed pictures. How cool! Anyone interested in donating items can contact Mrs. Tripp via phone or email (stripp@kidsroe.org). Let’s show how caring SMS is!!

Also, very soon all 8th grade parents will receive an invitation in the mail to put a dedication into the yearbook. This will be a wonderful memory for your child as he or she travels through life. Yearbooks will be $25 until December 8th. There will be a Herf Jones $3.50 processing fee. After that the website will be shut down and yearbooks will be $30.
