Woodbury Elementary School

 Our Mission

Woodbury School is an active family learning environment where children are
encouraged to grow socially, academically, and emotionally.
Our children will feel safe, respected, supported, and challenged to become life long learners.

WELCOME

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Woodbury School, I would like to extend a sincere welcome to all of our students and parents.  The 2008 - 2009 school year will offer many exciting opportunities for all of us.  We look forward to working with you to provide your child with the best possible educational opportunities and to share the goal that your child will reach toward his/her maximum potential.

Dr. Shirley DeCorte, Principal

Woodbury School has received a $500 grant from the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program to support the school's literacy programs. Sandwich Mobile managed by Saleem Burdi on 201 West Church Street in Sandwich worked with school officials to secure the grant which is one of 4,000 available to schools across the country served by Exxon or Mobil stations. The grants were made possible by funding from the Exxon Mobil Corporation. "Woodbury School works hard to make learning interesting and fun," said Mr. Burdi. "As a Mobil retailer, I am proud to help the young people of Sandwich." Woodbury will be using this grant to purchase Leapsters Learning Games that the students can use to reinforce classroom learning concepts. The ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program is designed to provide Exxon and Mobil retailers with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to neighborhood schools. ExxonMobile believes that, as members of the community, local retailers are best qualified to work with local educations to help identify schools and programs most in need of support. The Sandwich Mobil met stringent eligibility criteria before applying for and being awarded this grant, including having a commitment to provide a superior buying experience for customers. Photo shows Derek Murphy and Spencer Anderson previewing the Leapsters that we are buying with this generous grant from our local Mobil Station.
