Treble Choir - By audition only.
This choir focuses on the blending of female voices. With 20
members, Treble Choir explores four-part to eight-part music. It is
an a cappella choir that attends festivals and participates in
competitions. Repertoire ranges from Baroque to Pop with emphasis
in world music and foreign languages. Mixed Choir - By
audition only. This choir encompasses all voice parts: soprano,
alto, tenor, bass. This choir sings literature ranging from
Renaissance to Pop music. The focus is to experience the student to
a full range of choral literature while refining vocal production
and blend.
Jazz Choir - By audition only, this choir is completely
extracurricular. Jazz choir focuses on standard jazz repertoire,
vocal accompaniment and improvisation. Performance opportunities
include Holiday Jazz Concert, Spring Jazz Concert, and IMEA Jazz
Festival. The entire jazz program takes an annual tour trip to a
different US destination.
Star-Spangled Singers - Members of the Treble Choir are welcome
to join with the purpose of providing the Star Spangled Banner at
high school sporting events, as well as community events. |
