For the past several years, Sandwich Middle School has been developing unique educational tours for our students. These opportunities are designed to enhance our students' education through the exploration of our state and national capital cities. We have partnered with one of the nation's leading educational touring providers to offer special trips to ou state capital in Springfield, IL and the nation's capital in Washington, DC.

The Educational Tours Story

Educational Tours, Inc. (ET) is the preeminent provider of educational student travel, celebrating 40 years of extraordinary school trips. 2012 marks the 43th Anniversary of offering high-quality educational travel experiences for students. Since 1969, ET has operated with the strong belief that the needs of each and every group are unique. A tweak to an itinerary here, additional services there; ET has built their business partnering with group leaders to provide the very best educational travel programs around. ET specializes in all areas of student travel, from educational to music to sports.

Our Tours

Washington Educational Tour for 8th Graders

Sandwich Middle School is proud to offer a trip to our nation's capital city in Washington, DC over Presidents Day Weekend in February. The trip is open to ALL curently-enrolled eighth grade students at SMS. Travel accommodations are being provided by motor coach to keep the cost of the trip as low as possible. All fees are included in the cost of the trip including transportation, admission to tour stops, hotel room fees, all meals, and a group photo. We encourage students to bring additional money with them to spend on souveniers while in the nation's capital.

Springfield Educational Tour for 7th Graders

Sandwich Middle School is proud to host a trip to our state's capital city in Springfield, IL in late-October. The trip is open to ALL currently-enrolled seventh grade students at SMS. All fees are included in the cost of the trip including transportation, admission to tour stops, and two meals. We encourage students to bring additional money with them to spend on souveniers while in the state's capital.
