Sandwich Middle School 8th Grade Promotion

Eighth grade promotion night will be Tuesday, May 24th , 7:00 p.m. at Sandwich High School. All students that do not have to attend summer school to complete promotion requirements are invited to attend. Students should arrive at the SHS cafeteria by 6:30 p.m. on that evening. We will practice that morning and students must attend the practice to participate in the ceremony. The dignity of the occasion can best be observed by refraining from whistling or applauding for each student. Please hold your applause until the entire class has been awarded their certificates of promotion. Also, please silence all cell phones and electronic devices. Dress attire is casual (no blue jeans, t-shirts, shorts, etc.).

Emergency Day Information

There are several wasy that our building will communicate information about school closings. On inclement weather days, the school district encourages parents to check for up-to-date information on school closings by listening to the radio or watching television for closing information. We will send this information to WSPY (107.1 FM) and/or on the WGN television station.
Parents may also go to http://www.emergencyclosings.com for school closing information and can sign up for e-mail notification of school closings.
