Superintendent’s Message

Dear Sandwich Learning Community,

On behalf of the Sandwich School District, I want to extend a warm welcome to you and your family as you join our school community. We are excited to partner with you in supporting your child’s learning and growth. Sandwich is a wonderful place for kids to learn and be involved. 

Our district is deeply committed to a continuous cycle of improvement. Through the work of our District Leadership Team, we regularly reflect on our progress, review our practices, and focus on what matters most—our students. We also focus on our staff which is our greatest asset in the school district. We have spent significant time working on our collaborative approach to teaching. This expectation is great for staff, but a wonderful advantage for our students. Collaboration and our core values guide every decision we make, ensuring that we remain student-centered and future-focused.

One of the most important ways we live out these values is by being intentional with our hiring practices. We are dedicated to bringing in educators and staff who are passionate about their work, relationship-centered in their approach, skilled in their craft, and committed to maintaining high expectations for every learner. We believe that the right people make all the difference in creating a thriving school environment.

In addition, we have prioritized our district spending to improve and modernize our facilities. We want every student and staff member to feel proud of the places where they learn and work. By investing in our buildings and learning spaces, we are investing in the success, safety, and pride of our entire community.
